In Hangzhou in 2019, a news that the content of formaldehyde in synthetic wood furniture exceeded the standard to induce leukemia caused widespread social discussion in China. People have lost confidence in the traditional synthetic board (FDM) which is bonded by industrial glue. As a designer I am looking forward to restoring public confidence, so in this project I have researched and improved a method that uses bacteria such as yeast to bond wood chips. The advanced wood recycling technology can be used to replace the original synthetic board (FDM). . And don't have to worry about environmental damage. At the same time, I want to think about the constructive role that designers can play in social issues through this project.
